Fighting for a new world

Set in a post-apocalyptic world that is flourishing with life instead of destruction, Far Cry New Dawn is an action and adventure game where you have to fight for survival. Build alliances with other survivors and take down the threats brought by the Highwaymen, a group who wishes to monopolize the world’s remaining resources.

Reviving Hope County

Far Cry New Dawn follows the ending of the events that happened in its predecessor game, Far Cry 5. For those who have played this before, you will observe that the changes are plenty and vast. For instance, the world is flourishing and thriving with vegetation, which is very different from everyone’s expectations of what a post-apocalyptic world usually looks like in games. This change is also a treat to other players who are fans of the genre and therefore, having no prior knowledge of Far Cry is not needed to enjoy playing it. Even if the game has an unusual setup, the gameplay is still intense and action-packed. There are missions to complete, enemies to fight, and ideals to protect. The game takes places during the point where people are trying to rebuild a world that they almost lost. Unfortunately, not everyone is keen on reviving peace and prosperity. The Highwaymen will be a very persistent thorn in the side throughout the game as you will be trying to stop them from conquering bases or outposts and acquiring all of the remaining resources for their own gain. Of course, you also have the duty to explore the map and take control of outposts that you will chance upon. These outposts can either be quickly ransacked for goods or turned into a place where ethanol, the most valuable resource in this world, can be manufactured. Aside from that, there are also other missions that can be done in the game like an exploration of other areas and extraction of valuable packages that are crucial for survival.

What else is new?

Far Cry 5 ended with a nuclear explosion destroying the whole country and Far Cry New Dawn is simply living in the aftermath of it. 17 years after the destruction, the land is flourishing with life. It has already been mentioned that vegetation is thriving but that is not the only new thing to expect from the game. Chemicals from the explosion also altered lots of other creatures in the area so do not be surprised to see weird animals lurking around. Some have changed the colors of their fur or skin while there are other animals that look like a mixture of two others. As for the game map, Far Cry 5 players will notice sooner or later that the game did not change the location. You will be operating still in Hope County with some of its areas slightly altered due to the explosion responsible for the apocalypse that happened. These new game elements are but a few tweaks that aim to make a post-apocalyptic setting realistic.

A new dawn is breaking

Far Cry New Dawn is a very promising game that is full of excitement, action, and adventure. There is more variety with its missions, which makes each accomplishment fulfilling. There is also a vast improvement in graphics as the world of Far Cry New Dawn looks incredibly realistic and detailed.
